The first trip to Nikolaev and Odessa
This was definitely the very first step. The purpose of this trip was to see shipyards, understand the shipbuilder's technologies and assess their strength in the upcoming event.
I visited several factories, talked to shipbuilders, looked at their work.
Finally I decided to build my own sailing yacht with modern materials and building techniques.
For safety reasons in a long cruising, I opted for metal housing.
Why I chose metal? I was guided by the following key arguments:
1. The metal is durable and plastic.
2. The metal is easy to be repaired.
You may say, that metal is not such a modern material, but till now it did not lose its relevance and still remain as contemporary material.
In principle, it provides the most passive safety for the cruise.
Then came a period of conversations and correspondences by mail, and after about six months, I signed the contract and we began to build the yacht.

How I decided to build a boat
As it often happened, I was sitting and thinking about the meaning of life at those long winter evenings and trying to analyze myself, I made a decision. And it was certainly the first step. I was sitting in the middle of the Red Sea, on the border between Sudan and Egypt. It was night. We were going to in the direction of the south. It was a bit wavy. I was sitting and looking to the stars. I was trying to find myself. Of course it was not the first time when I was thinking about it, but that night was a special.
The idea that came to my mind was travelling around the world with the people who close to me as a family, and those who has the same spirit to discover the world as me. I wanted to show as much as possible how beautiful life is and how the world around us is different and interesting. And the most important thing for me was to open the strength of desire to achieve the aim and the taste of victory.
You might think, I'm crazy but we all have obsession for something. I want to convey young generations the beauty and harmony of a healthy lifestyle in all its aspects.
You may ask, why this way? Perhaps my obsession is related to the sea :). Well, I hope I can give a good example. And I know that I am not the first nor the last person that aspire and work towards it.
